Miguel Ángel Poveda León born in Badalona (Barcelona) in 1973.
In 1993, after winning four prizes including the “Lámpara Minera” in the national contest of sing, “Cante de las Minas” in La Unión (Murcia-Spain), he started his professional career. In 2007, he received the National Prize of Music for his great quality as an interpreter.
He has also participated in the most important national and international music festivals and has sung in prestigious places as the Théâtre Odéon (Paris), the Teatro Real (Madrid), the Carnegie Hall (NY), the Lincoln Center (NY), etc…
He has collaborated with such artists as Santiago Auserón, Enrique Morente, Israel Galván, Eva Yerbabuena, and others.
Up to this date, he has recorded eight albums. The latest one, ‘Coplas del querer’ (a double CD which is a homage to the Spanish popular music, the Copla) will be announced in a magnificent venue such as the “Gran Teatre del Liceu” in Barcelona.
