Genuine gospel, full of ideas and demands which become a song to life and justice, The Mississippi Gospel Choir is one of the most representative groups of the southern part of the United States.
The Mississippi Gospel Choir forms part of the African-American student organization, African-American Cultural Society, AASO, founded in 1968 and belonging to the Southern Mississippi University, an institution that works for community action, the solution of social problems, education and racial harmony.
Its constant activity has allowed it to let its artistic talents become known and to spread its ideology in a multitude of performances in universities, churches, music festivals and concert halls in different states of its country, in tours abroad and through its record productions.
With famous songs like God is moving, I am the Lord, Your God, Thank you, they transmit their message of peace and solidarity beyond their frontiers and they create real hymns that spread enthusiasm to the public.
