"Tango and Tears, a Tribute to Gardel", performed by tenor José Manuel Zapata, singer Marta Sánchez and Flamenco singer José Mercé, will be the gala show staged by Joyería Suárez jewellers to present its Elite by you 09 collection at Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu on 12 November 2009 at 9.30 pm.

"Tango and Tears, a Tribute to Gardel", created by José Manuel Zapata in early 2008, has its roots in the tenor’s happy childhood:
José Manuel Zapata was three years old when he sang "Noche de Reyes" in Granada. His grandmother had taught him this tango by Carlos Gardel, probably without any idea at the time that her grandson would become a tenor and pay professional tribute to the essential repertoire of the Argentinian maestro.

In "Tango and Tears, a Tribute to Gardel", the tenor will perform alongside Marta Sánchez and Flamenco singer José Mercé.
