The Petit Liceu shows are designed for different educational levels and are a great way to collaborate with the teachers. The contents that can be worked in the classroom, before and after attending the show, contribute to develop the affective, intellectual and social resources of the students, and they are related to various areas of the curriculum.

El ingenioso caballero Don Quijote  de la Mancha, is a novel written the 1615 by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra and is considered one of the best literary works never written. It has been adapted into movies, musicals and even ballets. American Ballet Theatre’s production of Don Quixote does not recount the full story of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, rather it focuses on one episode in their adventures.

The study guide provided by American Ballet’s educational service shows us the five main positions of classical ballet always used by dancers at school and on stage as well. Information about the relationships between the characters in the ballet is given from page 21 of the guide. In order to get the students ready before the performance, some exercises to do in school are also suggested.
