Anna Netrebko

Anna Netrebko, one of the most acclaimed lyrical sopranos of her generation, shall make her Liceu debut with Iolanta, one of Tchaikovsky’s most delightful operas.

Though seldom performed in opera houses, it is considered to be a treasure of Slav opera. The event’s appeal is further heightened by the performance of the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra and Choir from St. Petersburg, one of the oldest musical institutions in Russia, and the presence of Anna Netrebko in the leading role, who is not only one of the finest Russian sopranos but is also renowned for her character, charisma and personality.
