In December of 1962, around the day of Saint Lucia, and introduced by Josep Ma Espinàs, a young valencian student, from Xàtiva, stepped onto the stage of the Forum Verges Theatre of Barcelona to sing three songs –he didn’t have any more.
That was the first performance in Barcelona of one who would become one of the most important referent points of the Catalan song during the last decades: Raimon.
This was the beginning of a long and extensive artistic career that would take him from that moment onto different stages all over the world.
Raimon is celebrating this anniversary at the Liceu Theatre on November 30th.
For this concert Raimon is preparing an extensive and extraordinary repertory that includes songs ranging from "Al vent" ("To the wind"), "Jo vinc d’un silenci" ("I come from a silence"), "Veles e vents" ("Sails and winds"), or "Com un puny" ("Like a fist") to songs written more recently.
