L'orquestra dels animals
Presentation of the activity
The aim of this activity is to offer secondary school pupils the chance to see and experience opera from the inside by leaving their comfortable seats to climb onto the stage and sing. It enables them to take an active part in an opera performance by singing the choral passages. The activity is organized by the Barcelona Municipal Institute of Education, Jove Orquestra Nacional de Cataluya and the Gran Teatre del Liceu.

Calendar
Work takes place throughout the school year. It begins in September when schools register for the activity, after which the teachers attend a two-day training session (attendance is compulsory). The teachers continue the work in the classroom and the activity culminates in spring with public performances of the work in the L'Auditori de Cornellā.

Compulsory secondary education (12-16 years).
