Extraordinary prizes

Extraordinary prize of 5.000 €, offered by the tenor Plácido Domingo to the most outstanding Spanish contestant. 

Extraordinary prize “Mercedes Viñas”, of 4.000 €, offered by Ms. Teresa Vilardell, as a scholarship to a young contestant. 

Extraordinary prize of 2.000 €, offered by the Town Council of Moià (Barcelona) – birthplace of Tenor Viñas- to the most outstanding Catalan contestant. The winner will be included in the circuit of concerts of the Xarxa de Músiques of Joventuts Musicals de Catalunya. 

Extraordinary prize, offered by the Teatro Real in Madrid, as a contract for a concert of the four main prizewinners of the 53rd edition of the Francisco Viñas Contest (refer to article 15 in the Rules).

Extraordinary prize, offered by the Festival Castell de Peralada to two winners of an official prize, as a contract in the 2016 edition of the Festival. 

Extraordinary prize, offered by the Associació d’Amics de l’Òpera de Sabadell and its president, the soprano Mirna Lacambra, as a contract to a winner of an Official Prize. 

Extraordinary prize, offered by Ms. Leonor Gago, director of Concerlírica Ópera Internacional, as a contract to perform with her company in the next season. Prize reserved for a finalist. 

Extraordinary prize, offered by the  Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, as a scholarship to attend the International Summer Courses, to a young contestant. 

Extraordinary prize, offered by pianist Dalton Baldwin, as a scholarship to attend a Singing and Piano Master Class, at the International Summer Academy in Nice, to a young singer of the Oratorio-Lied classification.

Extraordinary prize, offered by the European Opera Centre to a European singer as a bursary of up to 3.000 € to participate in the Centre’s projects. Prize reserved for a finalist.

Extraordinary prize, bestowed by the Ferrer-Salat Foundation of Music dedicated to the study of singing technique, granted to six registered Spanish singers who have participated in any of the Contest auditions. The prize will consist of free tuition and hotel for two periods of one week each (from April 18 to 24, 2016 and from November 2  to 8, 2016) to attend classes in vocal technique, taught by mezzo-soprano Dolores Zajick at the Gran Teatre del Liceu. These classes will be considered the beginning of a future young artist program at the Liceu.
