I  can't attend a performance. What can I do?

If one day you're unable to attend a performance that's part of your subscription, the Liceu offers you the possibility of choosing a performance of the same show on another day, provided seats are available. Only one change per show is permitted.

  • Season subscriptions (A, B, C, D, E, T, H): a change can be requested for any subscription performance.
  • Mini-subscriptions (F, G): a change can be requested for two subscription performances.
  • Reduced-price subscriptions (PA, PB, PC, PD, PE): a change can be requested for two subscription performances.

When and how can I make a change?

Changes can be made online directly from the subscriber's personal area.

More information

Can the holder of a reduced-price subscription upgrade to a performance by a different cast and can the holder of a mini or season subscription switch to a reduced-price performance?

The holder of a reduced-price subscription can change to another reduced-price performance of the same show. However, if they want to upgrade to a performance with a different cast, they must pay the difference in price.

The holder of a season or mini subscription can switch to a reduced-price performance of the same title but in this case the difference in price will not be reimbursed.

How can I re-sell my ticket?

Depending on the number of seats still available for particular title, type of subscription, performance and area of the theatre, the Liceu reserves the exclusive right to decide how many tickets may be offered for re-sale through the Ticket Return Service.

Phone subscriber services: 93 485 99 13 (from 9.30 am to 8 pm)

I've lost my subscription card. How can I gain admission to the performance?

Go to the box office with your identity card or passport and you'll be given a ticket that will enable you to gain admission. (Charge: €1 per ticket.)

If you think your card is irretrievably lost, you must apply for a duplicate. This can be done online or at the box office. The charge for a duplicate is €6 per card.

How can I request a change in my form of payment?

You should apply in writing to abonat@liceubarcelona.cat or fax 934 859 928.

You can also write a request and bring it to the Box Office Liceu.

How can I take out a new subscription?

Go to the Subscriptions section of the web site and fill in the form

Do subscribers receive preferential treatment when purchasing other tickets?

Subscribers can buy other tickets before they are offered to the general public during two preferential sales periods: the first is for tickets to non-subscription performances and the other for other shows.

How many tickets can be bought during these two preferential sales periods?

A maximum of 8 per performance.

Why is there no subscription for seniors?

The recent reduction in the number of performances scheduled has made it impossible to maintain this subscription. However, those aged 65 and over are reminded that they are entitled to a 30% discount buying the ticket on the same day of the performance. They can also opt for a reduced-price subscription, which can be automatically renewed, and enjoy all the advantages offered to subscribers.
