Visiting public spaces

The Gran Teatre del Liceu offers the possibility of daily tours of its most representative spaces:

  • The Theatre Vestibule, in a Renaissance-based eclectic style, has been restored according to functional criteria and the original elegance has been respected.
  • The Auditorium is an exact replica of the original, shaped like a horseshoe, designed by the architect Miquel Garriga i Roca in 1847.
  • Saló dels Miralls (Hall of Mirrors), historically a relaxation room, it has allegorical paintings on the ceiling and texts referring to art and music.
  • Foyer is the new space located below the stalls of the Auditorium.
  • Círculo del Liceo the private club which shares the building with the Theatre and which is a stunning example of Catalan Modernism. It contains exceptional pictorial and decorative works of art and a collection of paintings by Ramon Casas. (Only visit on guided tours).
