Amics del Liceu cooperates with the Gran Teatre del Liceu by organizing cultural activities to support the Liceu and encourage opera in general:

• Guided tours of the opera house.
• Lectures by specialists prior to the premiere of each of the season's operas; also talks, discussions and interviews with singers, conductors and stage directors.
• Lectures and symposiums about the world of opera (music, dramaturgy, singers, stage design, opera house management, etc.).
• Exhibitions on themes to do with opera and the Liceu.

Amics del Liceu also issues publications:

• A book about the season's operas entitled Temporada d’Òpera.
• The Anuari -a yearbook containing details of the Liceu's artistic activities since its inauguration- and other works to do with opera and the Liceu.
• The association also works to ensure that collections of documents are deposited in the Liceu's historical archive.
