Celso AlbeloGo Back
The Canarian tenor Celso Albelo was a pupil of fellow tenor Carlo Bergonzi and has often been compared to Alfredo Kraus, himself a Canary Islander. In the course of his career he has received various awards, including the Teatro Campoamor Opera Prize, in 2010 and 2012, and the Ópera Actual prize, in 2008. His brilliant high notes have rung out in major opera houses throughout the world, notably in New York, Milan, London, Paris, Barcelona and Vienna. His present repertory includes leading roles in such titles as I puritani, L’elisir d’amore and Rigoletto.
