Minkowski ranks among the most outstanding musical personalities of his generation. He began his musical studies as a bassoonist but soon decided to concentrate on conducting.

At the age of 19 he founded Les Musiciens du Louvre with the aim of reviving the Baroque repertory.

Raquel Garcia-Tomàs

Composer

García-Tomás, a specialist in interdisciplinary creation, holds a doctor’s degree from the Royal College of Music in London. She received the Premio Nacional de Música in 2020 for «the interdisciplinary, innovative and daring nature of her highly individual compositional idiom».

She first came to the Gran Teatre del Liceu with Sis solos soles in the 2020/21 season.

Ermonela Jaho

Soprano

Soprano Ermonela Jaho, who received her first singing lessons at the age of six, later won a scholarship to study under Katia Ricciarelli in Mantua and attended the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. She has won awards in Milan, Ancona and Rovereto.

Her most emblematic roles include the leads in La traviata and Madama Butterfly, Liù in Turandot, and Suor Angelica. French, Russian and German operas are also part of her repertory.

Nascuda a Darmós (Tarragona), ha estudiat amb Isabel Cañas, Elisenda Cabero, Enedina Lloris, Francesca Roig i Carmen Bustamante, i actualment ho fa amb la soprano Mariella Devia.

En el marc del Liceu de les Arts, l'artista convidada de la temporada presenta una instal·lació onírica i poètica.

Nascut a Graz (Àustria), estudià al Mozarteum de Salzburg. El seu repertori inclou papers com Parsifal, Siegmund (La valquíria), Don José (Carmen), Florestan (Fidelio), Lohengrin, Jim Mahoney (Ascens i caiguda de la ciutat de Mahagonny), Max (El caçador furtiu), Éléazar (La juive), Boris (Kàtia Kabànova) i Pedro (Tiefland), entre d’altres.

Javier Camarena

His voice has been applauded for his interpretation of many composers, including Bellini, Bizet, Donizetti, Haydn, Mozart, Rossini and Verdi.

In 2014, he caught the attention of the entire opera world when he sang the aria of Ramiro (La cenerentola) at The Metropolitan Opera in New York for two consecutive nights.

He made his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in the 2012/13 season with L'elisir d'amore
