  • Chairs for resting while waiting.
  • Loop system for attending to users of hearing aids.
  • Counter for wheelchair users.

Surtitles

All operas include surtitles in Catalan, Spanish and English, allowing audiences to follow the storyline. The adaptation of the opera’s libretto is transcribed onto the screen placed above the stage.

*Since the beginning of the 2023/24 season, the Liceu has identified certain issues related to the obsolescence of the individual subtitle screens available on most seats in the theatre, as well as the image display (TFT) screens. While a full renewal of the system is being carried out, the screen above the stage has been immediately expanded and will provisionally display surtitles in Catalan, Spanish and English to ensure proper understanding of the operas.

Audio description

Live audio description service is available for one performance of each staged opera. It provides narration of key visual elements to benefit blind and visually impaired audience members. The service consists of two parts: an audio introduction fifteen minutes before the performance starts, and live audio description during the show.

LiveVoice app
To access the audio description, simply click on Audiodescripció al Liceu, or open the LiveVoice app and enter the code: 075177.
