Santi Moix (Barcelona, 1960) is a versatile artist who has lived in New York since 1986 and combines a wide range of techniques in his work, including painting, sculpture, drawing, ceramics, and mural painting. His creations transcend the boundaries of traditional genres, blending figuration with abstraction to offer a unique visual expression. His works, full of color and organic shapes, seek a deep connection with the cycle of life, providing a poetic and exuberant vision of nature.
Moix was awarded a fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation in 2002, a distinction that has strengthened his international presence. His graphic work is shown at Pace Gallery, and he has participated in high-profile special projects such as murals for Prada in their SoHo store, interventions at the Brooklyn Museum, at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, and frescoes at the Church of Sant Víctor de Seurí in the Àssua Valley, in the Pyrenees.
This rich trajectory reflects Moix's commitment to art as a form of vital expression, where each work is a new opportunity to transform reality and give it a symbolic and emotional dimension. The artist currently resides and has studios in Brooklyn (New York) and Barcelona, where he continues to create and expand his artistic universe.
