Interludes by Bach with Boccherini and Beethoven
We present the dialogue of three great composers through the string trio formation of violin, viola, and cello. J.S. Bach's Three-Part Inventions, originally for keyboard, serve as the thread of a program that harmoniously revolves around the tonality of L. Boccherini's Trio op.14 n5, E-flat major, and concludes with one of the most representative pieces of the formation, L.V. Beethoven's Trio Op.9 N.3 in C minor, where we find both Bachian counterpoint and the richness of Boccherini's gallant style variations. This composer could curiously fit into a small wordplay game of the three Bs that Hans von Büllow referenced as Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms.

A well-rounded program in all aspects that invites contemplation and enjoyment.

Luther and Bach
We open with a selection of arias from Johann Sebastian Bach's most emblematic works, such as the Passions according to St. John and St. Matthew and the cantata O ewiges Feuer, which introduce us to the musical and spiritual universe of the brilliant composer from Leipzig.

Next is the motet Jesu, meine Freude (1723), one of Bach's best-known and most appreciated works. A subtle work between the sobriety of Lutheran liturgy and Johann Sebastian Bach's musical genius. It all starts from the Lutheran hymn of the same name, which means "Jesus, my joy", written by Johann Crüger and sung by the congregation in Protestant temples. Bach's motet is a succession of different harmonizations of this simple chorale, thus transfigured into a musical monument of remarkable structure both for its musical beauty and its profound spiritual content.

Passion according to St. John BWV245 - Mein teurer Heiland (bass)
