Angela Meade

Soprano

American soprano Angela Meade made her debut in New York when she was unexpectedly called upon to sing Elvira (Ernani), a surprise event that drew worldwide attention to her impressive voice. Since then she has appeared at the majority of the world's leading opera houses, though this will be her first visit to the Liceu. She has a special flair for Verdi and won the "outstanding newcomer" prize at the 2011/12 Critics' Awards organized by Amics del Liceu for her performance in Il trovatore at the Peralada Festival.
