Duncan Dhu closes four decades of timeless anthems with a historic concert at the Liceu

Duncan Dhu has forged one of the most celebrated, influential and authentic careers in Spanish-language pop rock. Led by the unmistakable voice of Mikel Erentxun, the band broke new ground throughout the 1980s and 1990s, becoming a true cultural phenomenon. They were not only a success with audiences and critics alike; they achieved something far more remarkable: turning their songs into the timeless and indelible soundtrack to millions of lives.

Their career is a journey of constant evolution and an unwavering commitment to melody. From their dazzling debut, Por tierras escocesas, to the sophistication of later works such as Piedras, Crepúsculo and the reunion album El duelo, their discography reads like a catalogue of enduring anthems. Iconic songs such as Cien gaviotas and En algún lugar have stood the test of time with extraordinary relevance, proving that truly great compositions do not belong to a single era; they remain alive, resonating anew every time audiences sing them at the top of their lungs.

After celebrating four decades of their legacy around the world in 2025 and 2026 with the DD40 tour, Mikel Erentxun and his band are bringing this chapter to a close, making the Gran Teatre del Liceu one of the final stops on this unforgettable journey. A ritual of nostalgia, a celebration of shared memories and a unique opportunity to relive the triumph of songs that have become part of all of us.
