Tenor Gregory Kunde was named "best male singer" in the 2016 International Opera Awards. The leading roles in such operas as Les troyens, Peter Grimes, L’Africaine, Otello (both Verdi and Rossini's versions), Aida, Norma, Il trovatore, Cavalleria rusticana and Pagliacci are all part of his repertory. He has performed in cities including London, Milan, Venice, Madrid, Rome, Berlin and Verona.
After singing in Anna Bolena in the Liceu's 2010/11 season, he has returned several times in Il pirata (2012/13), Norma (2014/15), Otello (2015/16), Manon Lescaut and Poliuto (2017/18) and Turandot (2019/20).
