Scandinavian mezzosoprano Kielland has a varied repertory encompassing everything from Baroque to contemporary music. After appearing at opera houses in Europe, Japan and the United States, she now makes her debut both at the Liceu and in the role of Alcione. Her contribution to the album Veslemøy Synsk, a collage by Norwegian composer Olav Anton Thommessen, earned her a nomination for a Grammy award. In the course of her career she has worked with conductors including Philippe Herreweghe, Fabio Biondi, Jordi Savall, Rinaldo Alessandrini and Marc Minkowski.
