Véronique Gens
Soprano

The French soprano Véronique Gens has won international acclaim for her interpretations of the Baroque repertory and Mozart.
She began her career in 1986 with William Christie and Les Arts Florissants and subsequently worked with conductors including Marc Minkowski, Philippe Herreweghe, René Jacobs and Daniel Harding.
She has appeared at the Liceu several times, first in the show Entorn de Mozart (1999/2000), and more recently in Don Giovanni (2007/08), Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg (2008/09) and Il burbero di buon cuore (2011/12).
