Cosmos Quartet Concert

The Cosmos Quartet brings us a unique experience where the music of Mozart, Bach, Glass and Iglesias engages in dialogue with art and transformed nature

The Cosmos Quartet will offer a concert at the Liceu Foyer inspired by the work of sculptor Cristina Iglesias.
The space will be transformed to evoke nature, with projections of details from her sculptures that will enter into dialogue with the music.
A program specially created for the occasion, featuring a constant interaction between classical works by Mozart and Bach, and contemporary pieces by Philip Glass and Alberto Iglesias, inviting the audience into an intimate and organic sound and visual landscape.

For this concert, the stage design will be created by architect and designer Carles Berga, who has used trees and branches from the Can Puig de Fitor estate in Les Gavarres, owned by the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera.
These trees come from a sustainable forest management project promoted by the foundation, aimed at reducing wildfire risk and improving biodiversity.

Founded in Barcelona in 2014, the Cosmos Quartet has established itself as one of the most outstanding string quartets on the international scene.
Trained at the European Chamber Music Academy and awarded in competitions such as Heidelberg, BBVA Montserrat Alavedra, and Weimar, it was the resident ensemble at the Palau de la Música Catalana from 2021 to 2024.
The quartet has performed in venues such as Wigmore Hall in London, the Philharmonie in Paris, and the Konzerthaus in Berlin.
Committed to contemporary music, it collaborates with leading composers and performers, and its repertoire spans from classicism to the most current creations.
