Born in Tirano, Italy, in 1992, bass Vittorio De Campo began his musical training with Patrizia Fabbri and furthered his studies in masterclasses with Fiorenza Cedolins, Francis Keeping, Giacomo Prestia and Orlin Anastasov. Between 2022 and 2024, he received numerous international accolades, including first prizes at the Marmo di Carrara, Olivero di Milano and Ghiaurov di Modena competitions, as well as the Audience Award at the Belvedere Competition in Jurmala and the “Best Bass Voice” awards dedicated to Nicolaj Ghiaurov and Giulio Neri.
He made his debut at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago with Tosca and has since appeared there in productions of Manon Lescaut and La fanciulla del West. His repertoire includes Ramfis (Aida), Colline (La bohème), Mephistopheles (La damnation de Faust), the Commendatore (Don Giovanni), Oroveso (Norma), Timur (Turandot) and Zaccaria (Nabucco), performing at leading theatres and festivals across Italy, Spain, Germany, Japan and Albania.
A frequent collaborator of Riccardo Muti, De Campo has taken part in the Italian Opera Academy and several international productions under the maestro’s guidance. Upcoming engagements include his debut at Teatro alla Scala in I puritani, Aida at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Rigoletto at Opéra de Monte-Carlo, Samson et Dalila at Teatro Massimo di Palermo, and appearances in Antwerp, Luxembourg and Tirol.
He makes his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
