Javier Camarena

Since his 2007 debut in Zurich, tenor Javier Camarena has won ovations for his interpretations of numerous composers, notably Bellini, Bizet, Donizetti, Haydn, Mozart, Rossini and Verdi, and has worked with conductors including Claudio Abbado, Zubin Metha and Fabio Luisi.

In 2014 he became the talk of the entire operatic world when he encored Ramiro's aria (La Cenerentola) two nights in a row at the New York Metropolitan.

We have heard him at the Liceu in L’elisir d’amore (2012/13), Maria Stuarda (2014/15), La fille du régiment and Rigoletto (2016/17), and I puritani (2018/19).
