Barcelona, January 31, 2024. Today marks 30 years since the Gran Teatre del Liceu experienced a fire that shook our city. Amidst the tragedy, the unity of artists, collaborators, patrons, subscribers, society, and public administrations made possible the rebirth of our Teatre through commitment, love for culture, and the connection with this historic coliseum.

A collective embrace wove the desire for reconstruction, which was accomplished in 4 years. Today, looking back, we want to remember the strength and transformative power of solidarity at that moment. In 1999, the Liceu not only rose from its ashes but also stood as a symbol with the ability to overcome any obstacle.

May this anniversary remind us not only of what we lost but also of what we gained: resilience, hope, and a future where culture, art, and solidarity continue to inspire us by your side.

Thank you for always being with us.
